Stephan Beier, Chairman of the Supervisory Board
Stephan Beier is an investment manager at bm-t beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen gmbh. Located in Erfurt, bm-t (affiliate of the Thüringer Aufbaubank) is managing six investment fonds. Currently bm-t holds over 40 investments in companies and has about 200 million EURs under management.
Following his international business studies in Germany, Mr. Beier accomplished his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the U.S. He has worked as a Controlling Analyst at the Bank of America as well as five years in investment banking at the private bank Sal. Oppenheim in mergers & acquisitions.
Dr. Thomas Sporer, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board
Thomas Sporer is deputy director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMT in Ilmenau. He is heading the Acoustics Department. Before that he was involved in the development of mp3, AAC and methods for DRM methods at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS and the university of Erlangen.
Thomas Sporer is co-founder of the IOSONO GmbH.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Albrecht Ziemer, Founder and Member of the Supervisory Board
Albrecht Ziemer spent almost 20 years with one of Germany’s leading TV-station, ZDF. He served as Technical Director and later as Production Director where he was responsible for technology, operations and production.
In addition to his engagement for plazz, Albrecht Ziemer is a member in various supervisory boards and advises Germany’s Federal Government on industrial growth and innovation. He was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit as well as two honorary doctorate degrees from the Universities in Braunschweig and Ilmenau.
